Role Overview
We are hiring a senior-level Odoo expert to serve as a technical escalation authority for our Project Managers and Developers. This role exists to solve complex Odoo problems when others are blocked and to prevent unnecessary escalation to company executives. This is not a junior or mid-level role. We are looking for someone with deep, hands-on Odoo experience who understands both configuration and custom development at a systems level.
What You Will Do
-Act as the senior technical escalation point for Odoo implementation and customization projects.
-Work directly with Project Managers and Developers as assigned to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues that they cannot resolve.
-Architect solutions that span multiple Odoo modules and resolve cross-module conflicts.
-When needed by a PM or Developer, design and guide custom development using best practices for scalability and maintainability.
-Troubleshoot deep system behavior issues related to accounting, manufacturing, inventory, CRM, sales and other Odoo or third party modules.
-Understand and work within Odoo’s base code, ORM, models, views, controllers, and security rules.
-Reduce project bottlenecks for PM's and improve delivery efficiency across active projects that you are asked to assist on.
-Occasionally directly solve client service requests and (or) project manage a client implementation project as directed by the management team.
Required Experience and Skills
-5+ years of hands-on Odoo experience, including implementations and customizations
-Strong Python development experience within the Odoo framework
-JavaScript experience for Odoo frontend and UI behavior
-Deep working knowledge of Odoo core architecture and module interactions
-Proven experience with Odoo Accounting, Manufacturing (MRP), Inventory/Warehouse, and CRM modules
-Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-developer team members
-Fluent English, both written and spoken
Preferred Qualifications
-Experience working for an Odoo Partner
-Previous role as a Technical Lead, Architect, or Senior Solutions Engineer
-Experience mentoring or guiding other developers
-U.S.-based candidates preferred, but not required
Work Location and Schedule
-This is a remote position
-Candidates must be available during standard U.S. Central Time Zone business hours
-International candidates are welcome if they can reliably work U.S. hours
