SOP For Client Version Migrations
This document will outline the steps needed in order to successfully evaluate, quote, and begin execution of an Odoo version upgrade or migration. 

  1. When the Client, either current Client or new Lead/Opportunity contacts us for a version upgrade, a task for an RFI should be created within the project of an existing Client, or within a new Opportunity (not Lead) in the CRM module. 
  2. This task or Opportunity will be assigned to Cory, who will proceed as follows:
    1. If an existing Client for whom we have system access, Cory will login and review installed modules, and document findings in the attached RFI form. Cory will then send to an internal dev team member to review and evaluate the customizations.
    2. If the Client is a new Opportunity who has contacted us for this project and has granted us system access, Cory will log in and fill out the form to the best of his ability, and then relay to a member of the development team for evaluation. 
    3. If the Client is a new Opportunity and is not willing to grant DMS system access, then the attached RFI form will be sent to the potential Client from the Opportunity for their team to fill out. 
      1. If the completed RFI form is not returned to DMS within 2 weeks/10 business days, Cory will follow up with the Client to request the completed document.
  3. Upon receiving the completed document, Cory will build a quotation, detailing the pieces of the migration and their associated time estimates. 
  4. The Quote will then be sent to Jarrod Barr for review.
  5. Jarrod will then send the Quote to the Client, or set up a meeting to review the Quote with them. 
  6. Once all objections have been resolved, the Quote will be confirmed, and a Migration project will be created for the Client.
